Snacks : "The Morning Flow "

DJ Snacks, or “Snacks” as he is called by his on-air crew at The Morning Flo, is a Costa Rican born and American raised. The ones that influence him the most was Grandpa and his mother.

Snacks brings an in-your-face, sarcastic and off-the-hook perspective on life to Beatz 106 and has made himself famous by telling it the way he sees it.

Blunt, and to the point, if your food smells like Hell and gone, Snacks will not eat it. If it’s whack, you can count on Snacks to be in your ear.


Living with his wife and son in Bello Horizonte de Escazu in a 200 year old adobe house that was passed on to him by his grandfather, Snacks spent 19 years in the United States, mostly in Washington state, and was his Grandfathers caregiver for 9 years til he passed away two days before Snacks 27th birthday. He loves Costa Rica and has no plans to return to the U.S. on a permanent basis. Snacks is all about the finer things in life; that are spending time with friends and family, good food and enjoying all of Costa Rica.

When you get to know Snacks, you can see that he’s seen a lot tough of things in his life, losing Grandpa and friends along the way….and maybe that’s why he’s always makin’ us laugh. Snacks has had to grow up quick in life, and learn the hard way. And with all that, he still love’s everyday and is greatful for his life.

Snacks got his name from an ex boss who got upset with the constant flow of snack food ítems that Snacks rolls with. You name it, Snacker has eaten it. He always finds a way talk about his snacks. His favorite snacks are the Hostess family of foods, you know, Twinkies, Ho Hos and Ding Dongs. Unfortunately those snacks are yet to be available in Costa Rica but the Snacker is planning and scheming to import them and others to the 506…AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!
