Executive Summary
Concept: Global Warming and the full effect of environmental damage we have caused are getting more real everyday. This 4-Show Series seeks to educate the public on the subject of Global-scale environmental issues as well as Costa Rica´s environmental challenges. Then, the Show looks at what we can do as individuals, nations and regions to help tip the environmental balance back in the Earth´s favor. The full effect is awareness and commitment.
At the end of the Series, a symbolic ¨Blackout¨ across Costa Rica will highlight the subject and manifest the commitment to change the way we live and care for the Earth. The Blackout will be promoted throughout the Series.
Each Show will have a duration of 1 hour. Airtime will be on 4 consecutive Sundays starting at 7 PM. Show 1 will air on Sunday, November 18th. The Series Host is Miss BB, radio personality.
The Show´s Credibility is established via the participation of guests from the public and private sector, scientists, activists and Costa Rican youths who are already Make a Difference. Some of the organizations include: University of Costa Rica (¨UCR¨), University National of Costa Rica (¨UNA¨), the Ministry of Environment and Energy (¨MINAE¨), Costa Rican Electric Institute (¨ICE¨), Casa Verde, National Meteorology Institute (¨IMN¨).

In recent years, we see more extreme weather. More large scale fires, more heat waves, stronger and more frequent tropical storms.
* Industrialization, deforestation and pollution have increased the amounts of water vapor, carbon dioxide, methane and nitrous oxide in the atmosphere. All of these contribute in part the eventual heating of the Earth´s surface.
